About the Role

We're looking for someone who wants to own content and marketing end-to-end - not as part of a bigger team with layers of review, but as the person fully responsible for it, start to finish.

This is an individual contributor role in structure, but a leadership role in practice. You won't be managing people, but you will be running the function: setting the direction, deciding what to prioritise, and being accountable for the outcomes. Nobody will hand you a playbook to execute - you'll build your own, test it against real results, and keep sharpening it.

Responsibilities

This is a high-ownership individual contributor role

• Create high-quality content: Write blogs, landing pages, website copy, product pages, and marketing content that educates, engages, and converts
• Drive SEO and AEO growth: Create and optimise content for both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences to improve organic visibility
• Conduct keyword research: Identify high-impact keywords, content gaps, and ranking opportunities to build a strong content pipeline
• Manage content optimisation: Regularly update and improve existing content to increase traffic, rankings, and lead generation
• Coordinate backlink initiatives: Work with external partners and agencies to support backlink building and improve domain authority
• Leverage AI for marketing: Use AI tools such as Claude and other modern platforms for research, content creation, editing, and workflow automation
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the founders, product, and customer-facing teams to turn customer insights into valuable content
• Measure and improve performance: Track content metrics, analyse results, and continuously refine the content strategy based on data and user behaviour
• Build scalable content processes: Identify repetitive tasks and create efficient workflows that help the marketing function scale </aside>

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in content writing, preferably for a SaaS or technology company
• Excellent Writing Skills: Exceptional written English with the ability to simplify technical concepts
• SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and content optimisation
• AI-First Mindset: Comfortable using AI tools like Claude for research, ideation, and content creation
• Ownership-Driven: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
